Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The perfect person for this job is someone who is extremely active in the social media space, updates Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. on a daily basis; an outgoing communicator who is adept at using visual tools and the written word, and who wants to dedicate their career to educating Californians about solar energy.
The successful candidate will be someone who will actively supports our sales team and works to make Sun Light & Power look its best. They must be an organized and productive person who pioneers new ideas and takes initiative, yet enjoys the processes inherent in working in a collaborative environment. Strong communication skills and positive attitude a must.
The newest member of the Sales team will understand the benefits of working for a mission driven company, and will able to easily articulate how they have integrated the practices of recycling, composting, reducing and reusing into his/her personal and professional life.
Experience and Qualifications
-A record of attracting new commercial clients, and increasing customer loyalty and brand awareness to your company’s web sites via social media.
-Experience managing (creating, editing, etc.) content and updates to your professional or personal website and uploading it to the Content Management System.
-Experience working as a liaison between your company and marketing/design/branding firms.
-Familiarity and experience with a variety of social media management dashboards.
-Proficient with design software such as Illustrator or InDesign plus MS Excel, Word, and Google Docs & Email.
-Highly skilled at writing content, scripts, ads, etc. and open to your work being scrutinized/edited.
-A history of tracking the success of various marketing efforts, and modifying them to improve your numbers.
-CRM or Salesforce basics coupled with the desire to learn more.
-A knack for creating order out of chaos: many of our digital images are buried within the network.
-The ability to “check your ego at the door” since most design decisions will be made collaboratively and, even though you’re the design professional, you only get one vote.
-Strong time management, organizational skills, attention to detail and consistent follow-up.
-The ability to create budgets, forecast spending, and complete projects quickly.
-A good eye for graphic design/photography is a must: a degree in visual communications, graphic design, and video preferred.
-Availability on weekends and evenings as needed to attend tradeshows and events.
This full-time position pays between $21.50 to $23.00 per hour depending on experience, plus benefits after 90 days of employment which include medical, dental and optical insurance; 10 PTO (Paid Time Off) days per year and paid holidays; profit sharing and VPTO (Volunteer Paid Time Off) so you can volunteer for your favorite non-profit organization after 90 days on the job.
